Tussar silk produced in Madhya Pradesh, is known by its Sanskrit name 'kosa'.This fabric radiate a natural brilliance due to the fiber used. It is a special type of tussar silk that is drawn out of the cocoons grown on trees like Saja, Sal and Arjun. This silk has great recognition for it softness and elegance. Because of its shine, luster and softness Kosa is quite extensively used for manufacturing traditional Indian sarees. The fabric is also cooler than the other varieties of Silk makes Tussar extremely wearable in warmer parts of the world. This silk is used for making sarees, kurtas, dhotis and other ethnic wear.

  • Kurta - 3 meters
  • Saree - 6 meters – saree fabric only (blouse fabric not included).
  • Dress / Gown - 4 meters – depending on the length, flare, and design.
  • Shirt - 2 meters – suitable for full-sleeve shirts
  • Pant / Trousers - 2 meters – adequate for most standard fits.
